Just don’t let the fears buzz in your ears

When your own inner power overwhelms you

Maybe, stop hovering in doorways

Hoping the faeries will mistake you

(For one of their own)

 

Get high, Honey-bee

Take flight and let the currents guide you

Alight on the air with nary a care

Because you know exactly who you are

 

And if the most that can ever be said

Is that you sprouted wings and fled

Then let it be said! 

Don’t let the stories they tell of you define you

 

Fly now, little Bird

And let not your worries deprive you

I love your poetry. This one in particular sounded almost like a nursery rhyme, in that familiar warm way.

All the nature imagery leaves a feeling of lightness. Definitely love the message of not letting worries drag you down, or let other peoples' ideas of you define you. This has an almost whimsical feel to it.

This is a life lesson for everyone, and I agree about the nursery-rhyme feel. Learning this at a young age and really understanding it is something that a lot of children would benefit from. :)
